1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Topline at toplinesim.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Topline. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts where this requirement is not met.
3. Accounts
- You may hold one account per person. Multi-accounting is prohibited unless explicitly authorised (e.g. a separate test account approved by staff).
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your password.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Account names and stable names must be appropriate and not impersonate other players or staff.
- Accounts are non-transferable. You may not sell, trade, or give your account to another person.
4. Conduct & Prohibited Behaviour
You agree not to:
- Harass, bully, or target other players on the game or forum.
- Use offensive, discriminatory, or sexually explicit usernames, stable names, or content.
- Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics. Report bugs to staff instead.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the game.
- Attempt to access, modify, or interfere with Topline's servers, database, or code.
- Engage in real-money trading of in-game assets or currency.
- Coordinate with other accounts to manipulate show results, economies, or rankings unfairly.
- Impersonate Topline staff.
Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent banning at our discretion.
5. In-Game Currency
Topline uses two in-game currencies:
- Rosettes — the primary soft currency, earned through gameplay activities such as entering shows, completing tasks, and daily rewards.
- Laurels — a premium currency earned through achievements, event participation, and active subscriptions.
Neither Rosettes nor Laurels have any real-world monetary value. They cannot be sold, transferred to another player for real money, or refunded. Laurels are never directly purchased — they are earned. All in-game balances are the property of Topline and may be adjusted by staff in the event of a bug, exploit, or policy violation.
6. Subscriptions & Billing
- Subscription tiers unlock additional features within the game (such as show hosting at Tier 2+).
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable consumer law.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.
7. User Content
Any content you submit to Topline — including forum posts, stable descriptions, or horse names — must comply with our conduct rules above. You retain ownership of original creative content you write, but by posting it you grant Topline a non-exclusive licence to display it as part of the service.
We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice.
8. Intellectual Property
All game assets, artwork, world lore, systems, and code are the property of Topline and its creators. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from Topline's content without written permission.
The world of Belverra, its regions, lore, and associated game elements are original creations and may not be used outside the game without permission.
9. Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, at our sole discretion. In cases of serious violations (e.g. hacking, harassment, or cheating), termination may occur without prior warning.
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting admin@toplinesim.com. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling after deletion.
We reserve the right to shut down, modify, or discontinue Topline at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice in such cases, but are not liable for loss of game progress, currency, or content as a result.
10. Disclaimers & Liability
Topline is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and the game may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Topline and its operators are not liable for any loss of data, in-game progress, or currency arising from technical issues, account termination, or service discontinuation.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on the Topline forum or via a notice in the game. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision.
